The Canvas Drawstring Backpack combines the casual sporty appeal of a classic cinch sack with the durability of 10oz cotton canvas. Unlike flimsy nylon drawstring bags that tear at the corners after a few uses, this bag features reinforced metal eyelets at all four stress corners and bar-tack stitching along the top hem, ensuring the cotton rope straps stay secure even when the bag is fully loaded.

The soft cotton rope drawstring serves a dual purpose — it cinches the top closed and functions as comfortable shoulder straps. The 34 × 40 cm main compartment easily fits gym clothes, a towel, sneakers, textbooks or a change of clothes. The open-top drawstring closure provides quick access, and the bag can be customized with a front print, back print or both for maximum brand visibility.

What makes it durable

Body constructed from 10oz (339 gsm) 100% cotton canvas — a mid-weight fabric that provides enough structure for a backpack shape while remaining flexible and comfortable. The corner eyelets are nickel-plated metal (rust-resistant), and the drawstring is 5 mm twisted cotton rope, soft on the shoulders and strong enough for daily use. All materials are OEKO-TEX certified. The bag is fully machine washable (we recommend removing or securing the rope before washing).

Are the shoulder straps adjustable?

The cotton rope drawstring straps are not length-adjustable by design, but the effective strap length can be customized during production. Standard strap drop is 35 cm from the top of the bag to the shoulder.

Can this bag hold a laptop?

The 34 × 40 cm compartment fits most 14-inch laptops. However, there is no dedicated padded laptop sleeve. For padded laptop protection, we recommend the Tyvek Laptop Sleeve used inside, or the Canvas Messenger Bag with its dedicated padded sleeve.

What is the maximum weight capacity?

With reinforced eyelets and 10oz canvas, this bag safely carries up to 8 kg (18 lbs). The cotton rope straps are rated to 10 kg breaking strength.

Can I add a zippered pocket or internal divider?

Yes. Custom internal pockets, zippered valuables pockets and divider panels can be added for an additional cost. Please share your design requirements when requesting a quote.

Is the rope drawstring replaceable if it breaks?

Yes, the rope is threaded through metal eyelets and can be easily replaced if needed. We can also supply spare ropes with bulk orders.
